The East End Lagoon offers opportunities to explore the wonders of nature. From birdwatching, fishing or just strolling along the trail there is something for everyone.
Enjoy getting into the park along the ADA Nature Trail. This short 1/2 mile trail has 3 loops with interpretive signs, each showcasing a different view of the area. Birds, butterflies and native plants are in abundance along the trail. The trail is open from sunrise to sunset. While on the trail please be mindful of your surroundings, leave everything as you found it or better, do not disturb the wildlife, and use the trailside trash cans for anything you need to dispose of.
Kayaking on the lagoon is a serene experience. Fishing, birdwatching or just enjoying being on the water are ways to enjoy the lagoon itself.
Fishing in the lagoon or along the beachfront is a popular pastime in the preserve. When fishing along the beach front be very careful as depths change close to shore and currents can be strong and unpredictable.
